Assoc. Prof. Lynette Carter

I am from the Wybrow whanau and our whakapapa to Puketeraki comes through the Pananehu line via our tipuna, Kiwi. I have one son who lives in London and two mokopuna; my moko Fara (age 3) lives in Hawkes Bay with her mum (also Ngai Tahu) and Ngati Kahunungu, and my other moko Louie (age 2) lives in London with my son and his partner.
I currently work for the University of Otago where I am a senior lecturer in Te Tumu, School of Maori, Pacific and Indigenour Studies. My main teaching and research areas are environmental literacy and indigenous development.
