At the 4th November AGM of Kati Huirapa Runaka ki Puketeraki Incorporated being held at Puketeraki Marae, Triennial elections will be held for the Election of Officers (Chairperson, Deputy Chairperson & Treasurer) as well as election of the Executive Committee members. 5 positions on the Runaka Executive will be offered at the Triennial Elections. A further 2 positions will be reserved for the TRONT Runanga Representative & Alternate Representative appointments as these positions are part of the 10 member maximum membership of Officers & Executive Committee members.
Anyone wishing to stand for any of the Officer positions must be present at the meeting & have signified in writing prior to the meeting their willingness to accept nomination. Written notice should be given (email or hardcopy) to the Runaka Manager prior to the meeting. Please refer to the Rules of Kati Huirapa Runaka ki Puketeraki Inc. for the full details. The Rules can be found on the website or can be forward to you on request to the Runaka Office, firstname.lastname@example.org . The Rules also state the powers and responsibilities of the Officers & the Executive Committee – useful background for anyone considering one of the roles.
Nominations for all the positions will be called for from the floor at the meeting.
Unfortunately, due to staffing changes, the Runaka Office hasn’t been able to provide support for the triennial election of Runaka representatives to external organisations at this time. These elections will be held at the first RGM of 2019, scheduled for Sunday 3 March. Representatives to external organisations will be communicated with in the new year in preparation for these elections & information about the roles will be provided to members prior to the meeting.
