A few weeks ago, we had our first Puketeraki Hui-ā-Whānau Wānaka. Thank you to all of our whānau who created opportunities and made the most of the weekend. We had Taua Phyllis and the talented weavers working on their korowai, Pōua Brendan took a crew out to connect with our awa and Hākui Jaime taught an awesome baking session with our tamariki in Te Reo Māori. Everybody worked together beautifully as a whānau. The wānaka created a space for our tamariki to be tamariki at their marae and for us to live together as a large whānau as well as share kōrero about our whakapapa.
The date for our final Hui-ā-Whānau weekend is Friday the 16th – Sunday the 18th of November.
