In response to the drastic situation created for many whānau as a result of the arrival of Covid-19 coronavirus in New Zealand & moving to Level 4 Lock Down, the Rūnaka Executive has established a $20,000 Pūtea / fund to enable the Rūnaka to make a modest one-off grant (maximum $500) to registered members who find themselves in financial need.

The grant is available to whānau who are experiencing a sudden change of circumstances triggered by the Covid-19 Lock Down that has resulted in redundancy, loss of business and severely reduced income.

One grant per whānau can be made where there is at least 1 registered Rūnaka member. As this is a limited fund priority will be given to whānau who have care of children.

Applications should be made on the He Korowai Manaaki Covid-19 Whānau Support application form that can be found on the Rūnaka website www.puketeraki.nz , click on Covid-19.

The application form is also available on request by contacting admin@puketeraki.nz. Forms will be posted to those who require it.

Applications will be considered by He Korowai Whanau Komiti in behalf of the Rūnaka.

Applications are open until 30 December 2020 or until the pūtea is expended, whichever comes sooner.

We wish all our members well in these very challenging times.

Nā to koutou hoa,

Nā Matapura mātou ko Te Rūnaka Executive.
